How we used data to make air pollution visible
In September 2015, Drayson Technologies was launching CleanSpace - a mobile app that helps people see the air they breathe by tracking air pollution live through hundreds of sensors around the city.
To help people understand how it works, we created a live demonstration of the app, taking over some of London's streetlights.
Then, we created a physical manifesto of the movement, in the shape of a beautifully designed hardback. Delivered in an air bubble.
For five days, we took to the streets and talked to over 60 people. Mothers, old couples, protesters, suits, they all shared their own emotions and thoughts on London's air. Their stories and photographs became the "London's On The Move For Cleaner Air" book, printed in over 500 copies.
